Excellent stay
A very warm and friendly welcome awaited us after a very stressful situation with lost luggage on our trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. The room and whole place were above our expectations. From beginning to end Ximena was extremely helpful and efficient. Using a very high level of English, she really helped us settle in. We booked the transfer from the airport to the accommodation and were glad we did as we were able to really soak up the environment instead of focusing on the bus, water taxi and directions to our destination. Our driver was friendly and informative and we enjoyed learning about the island along the way. We booked a two level cottage and it was very cozy and had everything you need, as described. The very large double bed was very comfortable and the 2 shower rooms modern and in excellent working order. The quality of the food and drink supplied for breakfast during our stay was very high (delicious!) and the cleanliness of the cottage, communal area and pool was spotless. The location of the property is excellent, being calm and tranquil without being too far away from the town with the restaurants, shops and port. Great clean place to stay
Very clean. Best host. She even held our luggage for a few days while we went to Isabella. We had a three level unit with two rooms. There is a separate sitting area at top floor. Hammocks. Homey comfortable casitas nestled within walled enclosure, just a few minutes walking to downtown, shops, restaurants.

A wonderful, charming place to relax after a taxing airtrip to Galapagos. great for children
Each cottage has a living room, full kitchen, with breakfast supplied, 2 bathrooms and a bedroom on the second floor with great cross breezes, and AC. There are 4 houses, on the corners of the courtyard. Lots of outdoor space. One cottage has a 3rd floor with a second bedroom. Day bed and trundle also available in the living room. Ximena could not be more welcoming or helpful. Short stroll to downtown. Quiet. I rarely write reviews, but this place was outstanding. A Wonderful Place and People in the Galapagos
If we could give above 5 stars to the Galapagos Cottages we would. Incredibly comfortable place to stay, close to everything and wonderful people, especially the hostess Ximena. As soon as we got there, everything was special. They go out their way to make you feel at home and very helpful in recommending places to eat, things to see and where to go. We loved our time at the Galapagos Cottages and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Puerto Ayora. We stayed 7 days and could have stayed longer. Gorgeous and relaxing place to stay
This place was perfect for our trip to Puerto Ayora. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool and outdoor area was the perfect space to relax after a long day. The service was excellent, and Ximena consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had all of our needs taken care of. The location is just a quick walk from plenty of restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. I would highly recommend the Galapagos cottages to anyone saying in Puerto Ayora. Amazing Amenities, Even Better Service
If you are looking for a place to stay in Puerto Ayora, look no further than the Galapagos Cottages. From the physical structures to the service, everything we experienced was absolutely amazing during our stay, and I know it would be during yours as well. I stayed at the Galapagos Cottages during what was essentially my honeymoon with my new husband and 17 of our closet friends. We chose the cottages to give us a mix of togetherness (staying on the same compound, sharing the pool, and being near one another) but also separation (being able to all separate into different cottages to sleep and rest). This combination of together and apart was absolutely fantastic. I highly suggest for any group looking for the same experience to seek out the cottages. The property itself if beautiful, the pool is sparking and there are a multitude of outdoor seating spaces (including tables, chairs to lay out, and hammocks). The cottages have extremely comfortable beds, are extremely clean, and have fantastic air conditioning to keep you cool at night. The service that came along with this property outshined the property itself. The owner, Ximena, spent time with us personally to make sure we had everything we needed for a good week. She went above and beyond to help us accomplish tasks that were difficult as foreigners (she took my husband to the bank on her moped and was able to get my wedding dress cleaned within 12 hours for a photo shoot we had the day after we arrived). She was able to help us find someone to cook breakfast and lunch for us, and the food was some of the most delicious we had experienced on the island. The staff which cleaned the cottages while we were out for the day did an excellent job and truly kept the compound sparking. Further, Ximena’s sons are tour guides and helped our large group navigate the island and even helped us on a boat tour to another island. We absolutely loved being in the Galapagos in general, but being in the cottages was the cherry on top. I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay in Puerto Ayora stay here.

Gorgeous, feel at home cottages with amazing pool spacious bedrooms and super convenient location.
The owner, Ximena, is such a lovely lady. She mad the stay for our group of 15 people very enjoyable and was an able to accommodate all our needs - from much needed laundry service due to long travels to arrange excursions to the other islands. The cottages themselves are very charming and comfortable - almost feels like you’re in your own home. Additionally the location is a 5/5 - it’s about a 20 minute walk to Tortuga bay and about 10 minute walk to the supermarket, pier and all restaurants. A peaceful oasis
These cottages were the perfect base for enjoying Puerto Ayora. Ximena was very welcoming and helpful, and the cottages themselves are extremely spacious and comfortable. We were thrilled to have all the amenities we needed (even groceries were provided!) to just relax and hang out together in this wonderful little oasis, within walking distance of the beach and the town.
